I think what bothers me the most about Pat Robertson's recent obscenity is that he very likely is going to get away with it!

I hardly think of Robertson as the "Religious" at all..... Don't get me wrong, he claims he is religious, but many people claim they can sing, entertain, dance, etc... but they certainly are wrong. Just look at American Idol.
He is just some yahoo cowboy wanting to kill in the name of God. No different than Osama or any fanatical looser out there.....

Get away with what? Freedom of speech?...He got what he wanted...press, lets talk about me, send me some christian cash,...he actually has done nothing wrong. Our constitution lets him say what he said, if you take away his right of freedom of speech, where do you stop? Think about it..maybe you wont be able to say anything abbout G.W. on tribe...could be a terror threat.
Please the best thing to do is IGNORE HIM!
Pick your battles , this is a waste of time.

No one said to take away his right to freedom of speech. He's just a Zealot like the rest of the christian right idealog neo-cons. No one is battling him. AXE The Religious Right still Holds and strong among much of the American opinion. We ignore them but we still don’t have to like them. I hope they continue to say off the wall things, it makes great additions to the already endless numbers of examples of why these people are out of touch with reality, I guess that’s just fine. ;)

I don't think many christians in the country gives Pat a second though. I watched his show when I was 8, and thought he was a lunatic. His following, however, is much smaller than Micheal Moore's and Sheehan's. Both radical in their beliefs. They do the democratic party more harm than a guy almost nobody watches or even knows about.

You all seem to be forgetting one key thing. You can associate yourself with any or no religion in this country. In the eyes of world, we are the most dispicable people to walk the face of the Earth, religion or not. Nothing we do will change this. Currently, we are the heavy weight everyone wants KO'd.

I don't agree or approve with what radicals say on either side. It is unfair to discriminate against religious conservatives based on a few radicals. I try to not judge all libs based soley on my disgust for a radical's ideology.

I don't hate Muslim Americans because I associate Islam with the enemy. But you claim to be the "enlightend" party, and you bad mouth and discriminate against hard working and faith driven Americans by calling them such names. They are not forcing you to believe the way they do. They have every right to say and believe what they want. You just don't have to believe. They feel just as strongly about their beliefs as you in yours. You spout off at the mouth and demand to be heard. How hippocritical is that? That is un-American.

Cut or "Axe" the religious right? I don't yell "Castrate the Socialist left". (Now here, I can throw a bad joke: No need to, they did it themselves. hahaha! But you see, it's in jest. I don't hate liberals. I just hate their tactics)

Religion scares you. So what? Say that. Do not, however, compare "neocons" to terrorists trying to accomplish the same types of ideologies as our enemy. We do not fly planes into the Mecca Shrine during the Hadj. We don't cut the heads off POW's and broadcast it to the world. We don't kill innocent people indescrimatively to cause horror.

Most religious people are realist. I am not very religious, but am a realist as well. I understand the threat of Global Jihad. Do you? It's coming whether you like it or not. You don't fix problems by running from them. You approach them head on. Didn't we learn anything about radical regimes in WWII? Well if you didn't, I'll recap. Bad people did horrible things. We did nothing. They continued. We still did nothing. We got attacked and lost the strong arm of our navy. We struck back on 2 fronts and destroyed the threat. The world was safe (relatively). Upon review of what led to Global War, we promised to never stand idly by while bad things happened.

You may fear a draft for a religious war. It will definately happen if we don't unite and win it now.
